OvinoPro is an advanced sheep herd management system that empowers producers to monitor health, control reproduction, manage feeding, diagnose health issues, and optimize processes in sheep farming. The startup achieved significant milestones, such as winning the “Startup Garagem” hackathon, receiving mentorship and incubation at Tecnopuc, and acceleration by Ventiur. Additionally, it participated in several agro-sector fairs, being recognized for its innovation.

In 2019, I was invited to join the team as a co-founder and lead product design and experience, alongside a developer and another co-founder. I was responsible for building the product from scratch, starting with active listening to the producers and closely following the needs of the field. We conducted several field visits, participated in agro-sector events, and formed partnerships with Banrisul and SENAR. Throughout this journey, we won innovation awards and attracted the attention of leading producers and associations in the sector.
We developed a mobile solution from the ground up using Flutter, available for both Android and iOS from the first version, featuring offline data storage and synchronization. Additionally, we received mentorship from a renowned national sheep producer, which provided valuable insights into the industry’s challenges and opportunities.
The main challenge was to create a solution that was simple and intuitive, as easy to use as a notebook, something producers were already accustomed to, but with enough value to drive them to adopt the technology.
